Degree Program and Course Information
Certificate in Biblical StudiesThe Certificate in Biblical Studies is a non-degree program designed especially for:
- Students who need to satisfy mission agency requirements of theological preparation;
- Individuals considering the pursuit of a masters degree but not yet clear on their gifts and calling;
- Christian workers who have only a limited time to pursue graduate level studies, but have a desire to refine their present knowledge and skills.
Students in the Certificate program may seek admission to either of the master's programs. If the student is admitted to a masters program, all credits earned in the Certificate program may be applied toward the requirements of the master's program.
Academic Requirements for Admission: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or its educational equivalent is required.
Academic Requirements for Completion: The Certificate in Biblical Studies requires completion of 27 credit hours. A student must earn at least a grade of "C" in every course and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) to graduate. Upon successful completion a student is awarded a Certificate in Biblical Studies.
