Dr. Stuart serves as President of Proclamation Ministries, where he consults with churches and serves as Interim Senior Pastor to churches that have experienced conflict or the loss of their pastor. He has also served as a pastor of counseling, a senior pastor, and a church planter. Before being ordained as a minister, he was a lawyer. His special interest is in the area of biblical interpretation and pastoral counseling, which he views primarily as intensive and remedial discipleship based on God’s Word. Dr. Stuart has written an extensive manual, entitled The Jonathan Ministry, that trains pastors and lay people in how to counsel biblically. He is also the author of Ephesians, A Study Manual (P&R, 1987).
