NEW GENEVA THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

New Geneva International Theological Seminary

New Geneva International Seminary (NGITS) was born out of a desire by members of the Nasr City Evangelical Church in Cairo to see the formation of a solidly reformed seminary in Egypt. Initial contact was made with Equipping Pastors International, a mission organization dedicated to equipping ministry leaders throughout the world, and a partnership was formed between the Nasr City Evangelical Church, Equipping Pastors International, and New Geneva Theological Seminary in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to support the new ministry. As a result, New Geneva International Seminary was formed and began to hold classes in Alexandria, Egypt, in 2013. Each term of the classes are intensives, taught by instructors with degrees and competencies in their respective areas of theology and ministry.
At NGITS we are equipping and training pastors, elders, deacons, teachers, and laypeople to do the work of the ministry "for just such a time as this."
NGITS provides biblical education in the Reformed tradition in order that the principles of the Scriptures might bring all nations under its jurisdiction and dominion.
The response to the NGITS has been strong, with an average of fifty students enrolling per semester in several degree programs—Bachelor of Theology, Master in Christian Ministry, Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and Doctor of Ministry. Week-long classes are held twice a year, taught in an intensive format, by instructors with degrees and competencies in their respective areas of theology and ministry. As an added benefit of our development, we are now inviting our most qualified graduates to teach in our Bachelor’s program.
To date, over 117 students have graduated in one or more of the degree programs. (Waiting to hear back from Hanaa on total graduates.)
Alongside of the NGITS educational programs, we also partner in translating quality theological works into Arabic, including upgraded editions of the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Larger Catechism, and the Shorter Catechism. And we also partner with other mission organizations to send our graduates to teach in other areas in the Middle East.
