Tuition / Financial Assistance

Affordable, Accessible Seminary Training Established 1993

A Seminary Education You Can Actually Afford

New Geneva was founded on the conviction that financial barriers should not keep those whom God has called from rigorous training. Tuition is structured so that you can graduate without debt — whether or not a church or denomination is helping with the cost.

Less Than Half the Tuition

Published M.Div. Tuition Per Credit Hour · 2025–26
New Geneva$300
Covenant Seminary$645
Reformed (RTS)$654
Westminster$675
Each figure is the seminary’s own published M.Div. tuition per credit/semester hour for 2025–26 (Covenant $645, RTS $654, Westminster online $675), verified June 2026 and subject to change. Peer schools discount heavily through scholarships and church matching — Westminster currently funds 100% of tuition for residential master’s students. New Geneva’s rate is simply low by design: a full 100-credit M.Div. is $30,000 in tuition, with no scholarship application required.
Payment, aid & veterans: A deferred payment plan spreads the balance across the semester, scholarships are evaluated case by case on admission, and degree programs are approved for veterans’ education benefits by the Colorado State Approving Agency.

New Geneva endeavors to minimize the cost of seminary training for all who enroll. Students are encouraged to pursue support from their local congregations. For those with documented remaining need, the seminary offers the following institutional avenues:

  • Need-Based & Work-Study Scholarships: May be awarded directly toward tuition costs.
  • Application Deadlines: New students must submit financial aid packets at least one month prior to their first semester. Returning students must resubmit applications annually, no later than one month prior to the start of the academic year.

Tuition is due by the Friday prior to the start of classes. In cases of financial hardship, a deferred payment arrangement may be approved by the Business Office. This requires a minimum payment of 25% at registration, with the remaining balance split across three monthly installments due on the 5th of each subsequent month. A non-refundable $10.00 fee applies per term, and past due accounts carry a 1% monthly finance charge.

Students dropping individual courses or withdrawing from the seminary receive tuition adjustments according to the following matrix (minus the non-refundable $15.00 drop fee):

  • Week 1 of Class: 100% Refund
  • Week 2 of Class: 80% Refund
  • Weeks 3–4: 60% Refund
  • Weeks 5–6: 40% Refund
  • Beyond 6 Weeks: No Refund

Note for Modular/Intensive Courses: 100% refund after Day 1; 60% refund after Day 2; no refund is available after the third day of attendance. All modular refunds are subject to the standard $15.00 drop fee.
